FKI Logistex announced they received a major contract to supply FKI Condor Cranes for Preferred Freezer Services six new facilities in 2007. FKI Logistex is a global leader in integrated material handling solutions.

The FKI Logistex Condor very-narrow-aisle (VNA) automated storage-and-retrieval systems (AS/RS) is a hybrid crane that stores and retrieves pallet-size loads in very narrow aisles. They will operate more than 100 cranes in Preferred Freezer Services refrigerated warehouses across the United States.

"FKI Logistex has a history of success in providing VNA systems to existing Preferred Freezer facilities and we look forward to continuing to help Preferred Freezer and other customers increase throughput and efficiency for years to come," said Ted Clucas, president, FKI Logistex Manufacturing Systems in North America.

Contract agreements also included a fixed-price, full-service, parts-and-maintenance contract for all Preferred Freezer Services sites using the Condor system. Instead of Preferred Freezer hiring and training technicians, FKI Logistex will handle all preventative, emergency and normal repairs to the machines.
