Ordersfor manufactured durable goods in the U.S. jumped 1.9% in April, according tothe Commerce Department. Analysts had forecast a modest 0.4% increase. But the$161.5 billion in durable goods orders for April still hovers near a 13-yearlow for the metric despite recent improvement.
